A Game To Remember – LSU Football

Following Hurricane Katrina, the LSU Tigers had to face #15 Arizona State on the road in their season opener in what was supposed to be a home game. With 1:23 left in the 4th quarter, the Tigers face a 4th and 10 from ASU’s 39. Sophomore QB JaMarcus Russell throws an amazing pass to the corner of the endzone which is caught by Sophomore WR Early Doucet for the game winning TD.

I will never look down on ASU as a football team, or a university. It’s amazing the kind and generous donation they gave the state of Louisiana during that terrible time. I pray for the day that Arizona State wins the PAC10, and gets to the nat’l championship. From a LSU fan, GO DEVILS!

thats why were are called the fighting tigers :)

4th down, 4th qtr football is a historical tradition.

the name fighting tigers is of GREAT historical significance for the State of Louisiana.
we have always played heart attack football.

this is why Coach Les Miles is the greatest coach that we could have ever been blessed with.

This was all true besides the fact that this was just a straight up GOOD college football game. The was this played out is what it’s all about as a sport.

You will never know how much we sincerely appreciated the thoughtfulness, kindness and the overwhelming generosity of Arizonia and
all of the Sun Devil Fans. As a family who lost everythinbg to Hurricane Katrina with children who attend LSU, you gave us hope, you donated funds to help our devastated students, and showed the Nation how your spirit touched the lives of everyone along the Gulf Coast.
